Regarding Hydrogel-filled greast implants which we implanted, we have acknowledged that at the time of their replacement, after deflation, 100% of these showed a filler more or less liquefied. This hydrogel short-term instability which we have encountered confiers to this type of implants the same risk of deflation than saline-filled implants. However, ARION insist on the long-term stability of the Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) based hydrogel used as a filler for mammary implants. Unfortunately, neither its innocuousness, nor its stability in-vivo has been clearly demonstrated. In addition, it excludes any type of sterilization by gamma or beta irradiation which proveked a rapid liquefaction of hydrogel. It is the case for the implants used in our series.

我々が施術したハイドロジェルブレストインプラントの収縮による交換の場合、100%の確率でインプラントが多かれ少なかれ液化していることが認められた。我々が経験したこのようなハイドロジェルブレストインプラントの短期間での不安定性は、生理食塩水ブレストインプラントの同じような収縮危険性と比較しても高いものである。しかしアリオン社は、インプラントに充填させるCMC（カルボキシメチルセルロース）の長期の安定性を主張している。残念ながら、アリオンCMC人工乳房の無害性および体内における安定性ははっきり証明されていない。
